tbcheck necessary???

To all, Last month I wrote about the root chunk going down. This month chunks 3 and 8 went down. I am still doing the restore so I have not seen the logs. Anyway, my question is after the restore is the tbcheck necessary to run...? which takes 6 hours. Eve
