DESCRIBE question

Hi all, I've been working with version 7.12.UC1 of the engine and ESQL/C. Wwen I use an sqlda structure as the destination for a describe the desc_next and desc_occ fields in the sqlda structure sometimes have values, but most of the time are set to NULL and zero repspectively. Once in a while they both get set but the values aren't what I would expect. For example, the desc_occ which is supposed to be size of the sqlda gets set to a value which I know is not correct for the describe being done. Any input on this would be appreciated.
