Hi Everyone, IDS: Version 9.30.UC2X7 SuSe Linux 2.4.21 We received the following error messages in our log file: 12:26:42 Logical Log 11992 Complete. 12:26:44 Logical Log 11992 - Backup Started 12:26:44 Logical Log 11992 - Backup Completed 12:26:45 Fatal error in ADM VP at mt.c:11890 12:26:45 Unexpected virtual processor termination, pid = 22436, exit =0x100 12:26:46 invoke_alarm(): /bin/sh -c '/informix/WFZ/etc/LOG_FULL.SH 5 6"Interna l Subsystem failure: 'MT'" "Unexpected virtual processor termination, pid = 2243 6, exit = 0x100 " ' 12:26:46 invoke_alarm(): mt_exec failed, status 256, errno 0 12:26:46 PANIC: Attempting to bring system down Has anyone seen this error before? Heinz, It looks like the problem occured while finishing your ALARMPROGRAM logical log backup. exit = 0x100 = 256, which is well above the list of onbar error messages listed in IBM technical document 1053470, 1107589, and in chapter 11 of the "IBM/Informix Backup and Restore Guide". Unless someone confesses to killing process id 22436, I'd contact Informix support on this error. Good luck. Brice
