Yes, works fine. We use disk stripeing of various physical disks into
one logical disk to improve performance. The problem with committed
data doesn't really exist as Online writes disk pages at checkpoints
which may be later than the commit anyway. It is only important that
your logs have been written to do the recovery. In any case a logical
disk write is in this case no different to a normal disk write. In
fact you should always use logical names not physical names so that in
the event of a disk crash you can recover by giving a different
physical drive the same logical name.
