The way SE creates a C-ISAM file is different from the way that most C-ISAM applications create a C-ISAM file -- it relates to index 0 if my very rusty memory serves me correctly -- but the C-ISAM files used by SE are normally usable by C-ISAM, because SE uses C-ISAM. -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@informix.com, jleffler@earthlink.net) Guardian of DBD::Informix v0.60 -- see http://www.perl.com/CPAN #include <disclaimer.h>

Quite why there was a change of mind about the locking protocols used, and which locking system is used in C-ISAM and in SE, is open to discussion. But there appear to be more differences than would meet the eye. > The way SE creates a C-ISAM file is different from the way that most > C-ISAM applications create a C-ISAM file -- it relates to index 0 if > my very rusty memory serves me correctly -- but the C-ISAM files used > by SE are normally usable by C-ISAM, because SE uses C-ISAM. -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@informix.com, jleffler@earthlink.net) Guardian of DBD::Informix v0.60 -- see http://www.perl.com/CPAN #include <disclaimer.h>
