Help - Any suggestions for Report Writers/Tools?

Hi there, Please excuse my newbie presense to this board. I've come here looking for help. We run Informix version 5.0 online, on a UNIX platform (specifically, IBM's Operation System AIX version 3.2.5), on an IBM RS6000. And, we program in Informix 4GL. It does well for us and has for many years. We mostly have character based dumb terminals and several line printers. The situation is this...The reports our company needed us to write in the past used to be very simple. As time has progressed they've become more and more complex. Now they want sub totoals and more sub totals, stuff that looks like spreadsheets and more. The only problem is that these all get very complicated in 4GL and it's becoming very time consuming. My main goal is to save time. Secondary it might be nice if there were some new features for the end users. And I'm not against a small investment in hardware (laser printer, whatever). Does anyone have experience with an easy-to-use Report Generator, or Report Toolkit, or something like that, which could help us, and work in our environment? I've looked at the Seagate web site for Crystal Reports, but it appears that it only runs in Windows and I'm in UNIX. I would appreciate any and all feedback.
