RE: DBSPACETEMP

Howie What do you mean by random ?? It is possible to specify more than one dbspace in DBSPACETEMP and they can be a mixture of unlogged (marked as temp) and logged dbspaces. They will be used in a round-robin basis by the engine to allocate space for temp tables (each existing in a single dbspace). For index builds all appropriate spaces will be used for the sort/merge process.
