Q: IDS 11.5x - features..
Posted in 2009
Ok here's the question... I'm assuming that the Time Series Datablade still works and that the realtime loader also still works. However neither works with solidDB and solidDB doesn't natively support TS. So if one wanted to do TS in Memory and synch with IDS, You'd have to do a bit of work. So do you do a shared memory segment with persistent objects, then have a thread that would run queries and synch with IDS TS? Or is there a better way? Or is Solid looking to support TS? If memory serves me, if Solid supports blobs, then in theory it could be used to support TS... but can you load a TS from IDS as a blob? (You'd have to make some assumptions as to how the TS is stored and make sure you pick up all of the metadata... Who else besides Kevin Brown would know? Alan Caldera? Just trying to think outside the box... But hey! What do I know? This is a theoretical question and I really don't know anything. -G _________________________________________________________________ Insert movie times and more without leaving Hotmail®. http://windowslive.com/Tutorial/Hotmail/QuickAdd?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_WL_HM_Tutorial_QuickAdd_062009
