Is there a way of loading data from a .TXT file into informix database (ONLINE 5.0) ? These cheap DOS databases unload with those annoying commas as field separators with quotes around character fields. Some of the character fields have actual commas in them making this more of a headache to break the fields. Forgive my ignorance here but there must be a way to this short of sed or awk scripts ??? Maybe its so simple I'm missing it????? Many Thanks in advance for any and all replies.
