Well, apart from the fact that Using Informix-SQL doesn't discuss the more recent features of the engines (it assumes you are using SE and is current for version 4.10), what did you want in a more recent book? AFAIK, there aren't any, unless you count Informix Unleashed (and I don't know how much of ISQL is covered in there) and it's like. Really and truly, Using Informix-SQL 2nd Edition is up to date. The only items it doesn't cover are things like GLS support, which are at least as much a property of the engine as of ISQL per se. I've periodically considered whether it needs updating, but there is very little to be updated.
