Logical Logs (automatic back up) HELP !

Hi, I'm working with Informix Dynamic Server under Linux and one day I noted that logical logs were backed up. Now, When logical Logs are full, they are automaticly backed up !... Why ??? I'll thank you your answer to this mail. Excuse me for my bas English. Carlos (cdo@unsl.edu.ar)

If the ONCONFIG file parameter LTAPEDEV is set to /dev/null then the
engine automatically frees each logfile for reuse as soon as it is
filled. This may be what you are seeing unless you have set up an
ALARMPROGRAM to perform the backup file by file or have run ontape -c
(continuous log backup mode).
