Dynamic Cursors in ESQL/C

Does any have an experience using Dynamic Cursors in ESQL/C ? We have an experience that the performance of our system is gradually decreasing while it is running. Because we use dynamic cursors, the explain plan only shows once while we have set explain on. The plan shows that it is index read but we discover that the time is gradually increasing of retriving records. The workload of CPU is concentrated on 'oninit' and the usage of i/o is low by sar 2 5, sar -d 2 5 and top. The percentage of 'oninit' is above 90%. We think it is abnormal. We have update statistics high, Informix Online 7.11UC1 and HP-UX 10.01 Regards, Daniel
