I have IDS 10.0 and I've read about VTI (Virtual Table Interface). From
what I read, I would believe I would have it. But WHERE. In dbaccess I
cannot "create access method" which is presumable essential to get it
working./ It seems an excellent feature but I can't find anything on
WHERE it even resides!.
I am not sure what errors you get when you try and create the VTI but
this should get you started.

Thanks John, but I cannot see where the external physical file is mapped here? How does it know WHAT to open? Kate
