Outsourcing Proposal ( OffShore )

A small UK software company is seeking an off-shore software development company to participate in a reciprocal arrangement. In exchange for the redevelopment of existing software, we offer distribution rights to the products in chosen territories. Other arrangements could be considered. One system is in haematology laboratory based and is running in over 12 sites in the UK and currently starts selling at 10,000 UK sterling. There are two systems here that need to be merged into one. One is written in Foxpro for DOS and the other in Informix and Informix Windows Hyperscript on a client server basis. The plan would be to move to one product say written in Visual Fox or Delphi that can run in both client server and say under Novell and Windows NT on a file server basis. The second system is for laboratories supporting operating continuous plant such power stations or chemical plants. It is operating on six prestigious UK sites. It would sell for 5000 to 15,0000 UK sterling. It is written in Foxprox for DOS. Again this would be required to move to a Windows basis. The scope of the system could easily be extended to handle general laboratories.
