Bizzare sqlerror codes

HELP!!! I put a multiple user order entry system on line 4 weeks ago. Since then I've started getting very strange errors that didn't show up in testing. (Do they ever?) I'm getting a mixed bag of -46 Protocol family not supported -113 The file is locked -242 could not open database table -311 Cannot open system catalog The -113 and -242 errors happen on tables that are "read only" reference tables. Therefore, I can't figure out why the entire table would be locked. What could make it impossible to open the system catalog? I don't even have error -46 in my Informix manual. What is it? I suspect that these errors are only a symptom of some other problem. Unfortunately, I can't figure out what to even look for |-(. Any ideas from out in netland? The occurence of these errors are increasing in frequency and I need all the help I can get. BTW: I am running Informix 4.0 and SCO UNIX 3.2 on a Compaq SystemPro/486 Thanks in advance for the help!!
