How to manage images with I-4GL ?

Hello ! We develop with old R4GL 4.00.UC2 under SCO-Unix 3.2.5 (Open Server). Some customers want to include a photo of their articles in the database. I think blob fields are only in Informix on-line. I would like to know which possibilities do I have to manage images. ? - upgrade server to on-line and use a graphic client ( under Xwindow, Windows 95 ) - change development tool ( newera, ...) Any patch, idea, FAQ, ... will be appreciated.
