This is from Online Admin Guide 7.1 Volume 1 Pages 30-12 and 30-13
It says (on page 30-13, Right hand side of the page i.e. Seconday
Server, Below onmode command and Messages to message log.
"IF all logical log records written to the primary database server
since step 1 still reside on the primary database server disk, teh
secondary database server reads these records to perform logical
recovery (otherwise step 5 must be performed)."
Since you have done a Log. log backup to tape on the primary, the
primary no longer has a record of the logical logs on that tape. Hence
the secondary cannot get them from the primary. You need to feed them
to the secondary, by doing an ontape -l and giving it the logical log
tape.
