That program will backup just fine until the 2GB limit, then dies. What you can do is use the command line, which has no such limitation. In order to make that work you must use some fancy shell script which answers the questions that tbtape asks (hit return to continue, what level archive do you want?). It looks like this: ${INFORMIXDIR}/bin/tbtape -s <<END 0 END All that should be at the left margin so you don't send tabs or spaces, though.
