Hello I have a Development instance and sudenly I received this assert failure
tons of times. When I realized, Data Base went down.
17:57:59 IBM Informix Dynamic Server Version 9.40.FC9
17:57:59 Who: Session(1285, uresweb@pcmgomeza.vedanta.local, -1, 14ebb2560)
Thread(1617, sqlexec, 14eb837f8, 1)
File: rspartn.c Line: 5909
17:57:59 Results: Cannot use TBLSpace page for TBLSpace 6294472
17:57:59 Action: Run 'oncheck -pt 6294472'
17:57:59 stack trace for pid 2020 written to /tmp/af.a399af7
17:57:59 See Also: /tmp/af.a399af7
17:58:06 pthdrpage:ptdrop:bad partn page
17:58:06 Assert Failed: pthdrpage:ptdrop:bad partn page
17:58:06 IBM Informix Dynamic Server Version 9.40.FC9
17:58:06 Who: Session(1285, uresweb@pcmgomeza.vedanta.local, -1, 14ebb2560)
Thread(1617, sqlexec, 14eb837f8, 1)
File: rspartn.c Line: 5909
I restarted instance and it's online again. I reviewed with oncheck -cD <DB>
and onecheck -ci <DB> and all its OK.
Aditionally, when it was online again it logged this:
IBM Informix Dynamic Server Version 9.40.FC9
Who: Session(1, informix@srvdesifx, 0, 14ebac028)
Thread(6, main_loop(), 14eb6a028, 1)
File: rspartn.c Line: 9154
Results: Unused temp tables and/or deferred indexes may remain
Action: Cleanup will be reattempted during next initialization
stack trace for pid 1715 written to /tmp/af.3eed487
See Also: /tmp/af.3eed487
Errors occurred while cleaning dbspace 'catalogsdbs
informix
Then I run oncheck pt and this came out:
TBLspace Report for Unknown:Unknown.600bc8
ISAM error: no record found.Error opening TBLspace 600bc8.
Instance is running, just when I restarted always comes out above warnigs.
Any advice
¡Thanks!

Response:
Without seeing the rest of the af file, it seems as though you have a corrupt
partition page in the catalogsdbs dbspace. It doesn't seem like it was a
partition page for a real table otherwise -cD or -cI would have complained.
There's probably 2 ways to resolve the issue, 1 would be to contact support,
and the other would likely be a restore of an archive prior to the error
showing up. I wouldn't do anything rash based on my post since my post is
based a bit on assumptions without having seen the entire af file.

I would open a case with IBM tech support. I know, 9.40 is out-of-support
so you may have to pay for extended support, but the only alternative to
make sure that your data is secure will be to export everything and reload
it all into a clean instance.
You REALLY should consider upgrading to 11.50.

Thanks all of you I appreciate your advices. We have support, but company doesn't want to upgrade for now. So they have to pay the price of probably data loss if this occurs in production environment and of course theyre paying support for unsupported version.
