Are you using AutoCAD<->Informix?

I'm currently evaluating a Relational Database system for storing extended attributes for Blocks in AutoCAd, among doing other things. I've looked at Oracle, but it's too expensive for our medium sized department. Informix looks good, but I want to hear from current users of Informix about how it works with AutoCAD/SQL.
