Here is the way: If you'll use cooked files, then you must touch an File, chown to informix , chgrp to informix and chmod to 660. Then go with user informix in the program tbmonitor (or onmonitor) and add chunk over the menue: dbspaces/add_chunk then you see: Press ESC to return to the Dbspaces menu. Use arrow keys to move the cursor. Press F3 or CTRL-B to choose the highlighted dbspace/BLOBSpace. LIST OF DBSPACES/BLOBSPACES When Dbspace/BLOBSpace Name Created Mirror rootdbs 02/18/98 N physdbs 02/18/98 N datadbs 02/18/98 N logdbs 02/18/98 N move cursor now to the dbs, to witch you want to add the chunk and press F3 or CTRL-B. Then follow the mask to add the new chunk. Or you use Rawdevices, then you must define the raw-dev like above mentioned and the todo is the same. Hope this helps. Bye.
