Hi,
I am trying to load data into a table in an Informix 7 database using
dbload. The table contains 14 columns and one of them is a blob. The
process falls over with a "Long Transaction Error". I am lots and stuck.
Please help me.

Just a thought: turn off logging during the load, turn it back on
afterwards?
To turn it off: ontape -s -L 0 -N your_database
To turn it in: ontape -s -L 0 -U your_database
Use -B if buffered versus Unbuffered logging is desired. If you don't know
which,
*before* you turn logging off use onmonitor -> status -> databases to
determine the logging status of the database, then return it to that logging
status after the load.

Use the -n option on dbload to commit every "x" number of inserts.
