Re: [networker] Legator NetWorker and Informix: Saving Client Index
Posted in 1999
Dear NetWorker and Informix experts, a couple of weeks ago I posted a question about the Networker module for Informix: > The database and log data are backed up to their respective media > pools just fine. However, each backup run also saves the Networker > client index, and this is always directed to a tape from the "default" > pool, which I don't use otherwise. There wasn't much response, but a hint from Elmar Kolkman pointed me in the right direction: > Could it be that you specified a saveset or client name in the pool > definition ? Because the server is the client that saves the indexes. > And the saveset name is 'index:'. Well, the saveset name is not 'index:', but the suggestion was helpful anyway. According to the manual, you have to enter the pool's name in the "save sets" field. Adding the name of the saveset with the index (which in my case is '/nsr/index/<database server name>) in that field solved my problem. This really should be in the manual as well!
