Hello. We have an Informix7 database. I build (in Delphi 5) a little application that backups every hour some data from that database. When I start that application manualy, it works fine. But when I try to let an service start that same application, it starts the application, but then the application can not make a connection to the database. I make use of the Borland Database Engine (BDE). I tried this on a Win2000 and a NT4 machine and I logged in as an administrator. De service start the application after 10 minutes after starting the service. The errormessage is Cannot load an IDAPI service library. File: SQLINF7.DLL Alias: dob2000 Is this a known problem and is there a solution for it? Greetings, Bert Prins

Put the %INFORMIXDIR%\\bin directory into the system environment might help. Christian -- #include <std_disclaimer.h> /* The opinions stated above are my own and not necessarily those of my employer. */
I did that already, but that doesn't fix the problem :-( Bert "Christian Knappke" <chknews@gmx.net> schreef in bericht news:Xns943A6DD8994AAnnsshiqqcuusnqfigmxn@10.16.7.160... > "Bert Prins" <prinsoft@hotmail.com> wrote: > > > Cannot load an IDAPI service library. > > File: SQLINF7.DLL > > Alias: dob2000 > > > > Is this a known problem and is there a solution for it? > > Put the %INFORMIXDIR%\\bin directory into the system environment > might help. > > Christian > -- > #include <std_disclaimer.h> > /* The opinions stated above are my own and not > necessarily those of my employer. */
