Position Summary: The Database Analyst works under direction and is responsible for the following: evaluates, installs and maintains database management system (DBMS) software and related software products; sets up and maintains data structure and database environments to support production, performance and development activities; performs problem resolution and support activities, performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Knowledge of methods and techniques to create databases in Informix DBMS v 7.x on a HPUX 10.x platform. Knowledge of general installation methods and procedures and database security methods and procedures for Informix DBMS v 7.x on a HPUX 10.x platform. Able to utilize software functions and complete installs and upgrade, also for Informix DBMS v 7.x on a HPUX 10.x Knowledge of methods and techniques for programming scripting languages (i.e. Bourne, Korn, C-shell) in HPUX 10.x platform Knowledge of the Concepts of Data Warehousing. Knowledge of advance Informix techniques preferred. College degree or equivalent experience 3 years data processing experience, including 1 year working as a database analyst.
