I have connected using CLI 2.5 (ODBC) to IDS 7.24. The connect string needs lots of pieces: <% 'ADO objects available Set objConn = Server.CreateObject ("ADODB.Connection") Set objRst = Server.CreateObject ("ADODB.Recordset") 'Create the connection object objconn.ConnectionString = "DSN=DSNName;UID=user;PASSWORD=passwd;DB=db_name;HOST=host_name; SERV=sqlexec;SRVR=server_name;PRO=onsoctcp;UID=user;" objconn.Open %> This is the string that MS Visual Interdev created. I'm not sure why the UID is needed twice... -----Original Message----- From: paoching [mailto:paoching@panpi.com.tw] Sent: Monday, March 15, 1999 8:57 PM To: informix-list@iiug.org Subject: [HELP]informix7 and ADO,ASP on web? Dear all. Why can't I use ADO and ASP to access the informix7.X database, but I can use VB6 and ADO method to access the database. How can I access the informix7.X from web(ASP and ADO)? Thanks in advance! P.S. I use INTERSOLV3.11 32-BIT INFORMIX9 and INFORMIX2.80 32BIT ODBC drivers!
