At the risk of coming across as silly or petty, the above sentence places in sentence form exactly the data I specified in my form. The thing is, a lot of problems or features are specific down to the "UC1" level, specific to operating system versions or hardware platforms or combinations thereof. I love the conciseness, but we still need the same info... :-/ The more generic questions can often be answered by RTFM or RTFFAQ. So, we're still no closer to an answer here. Personally, I don't mind what form the structure takes, just so long as we get all the info... How about subject lines like: I4GL 4.16UC1/OnLine 7.20UD5/Sparc 1000/Solaris 2.4 ? :-) -- Ciao, Billy +------------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure... | +------------------------------------------------------------------------------+
