Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
The query should not be causing problems. What does onstat -g seg give?
Although you have resident set to 0 on the ONCONFIG there is an onmode
command that
can change this on the fly!
Raise a bug report on the query.
Also check $INFORMIXDIR/etc/sysmaster.sql.
You will find that sysextents is a view on several tables and one of
these tables is missing an index
to do the join!
Unload the underlying tables to a file can recreate similar tables in a
scratch database.
Index these tables on the join columns at the query
a) will use less memory
b) will be quicker!
I normally do this via a script and rerun it once I've fixed a few
tables (keeping a written note of
the tables I've fixed as I go). It can take 10+minutes on a large
system will lots of extents.
