Hi Cheryl I didn't change the onconfig parameters between archive and restore so thats not the problem. I have a case on this problem with Informix Denmark. Don't use more time on this problem. Thanks for your help. About Informix 8.0 I mean it is available on several unix systems but it is hardware dependend. It is made for loosely coupled and massively parallel platforms such as ATT 3600, IBM SP-2 and some others.
