Prepared Statements lifespan

Can anyone tell me the lifespan of a prepared statement within an informix database? Reading the 'Freeing Prepared Statements' section of the online docs seems to imply that they'll be resident until explicitly 'freed', (not per connection for example) but can anyone confirm this? -- Many thanks, Dafydd

Prepared statements not explicitely FREE'd live only as long as the connection that created them. Art S. Kagel
