I don't believe that.
I had same problem with us servers when it migrated from NT to SCO. I
solved I did a update statistics proccess.
Maybe could you check that:
What does another process run into the server?
Check onstat -p and find out its statistics?
With Dr SCO you can find a bottle neck in your OS?
