Adding my tuppence-worth (everyone else, please forgive if this is hogging
the bandwith). It doesn't stick, but it comes back from the dead. :
{ send data to a file }
select x,y,z
from tablex
where ...
into temp xtemporaneous with no log ;
unload to ytemporaneous
select * from xtemporaneous;
{ later that day ... in a new session
or drop table xtemporaneous;
}
{ bring data back from the file }
select x,y,z
from tablex
where 1 = 0
into temp xtemporaneous;
load from ytemporaneous
insert into xtemporaneous;
Yours,
Nick
