I'm working with about 20 SE databases on a series of SCO machines on an intranet. Using latest versions of SE and compiled 4gl. QUESTION: Can I set sqlhosts, etc. up so that I can connect to any database from within a 4gl program? E.g., database dbname@node1 .... database dbname@node2 .... etc. I've been experimenting with sqlhosts files and restarting the SQL server processes. So far only success I've had is if I redefine the INFORMIXSERVER variable before I start the process. Is there a way to get generalized connectivity w/o resetting INFORMIXSERVER? Any suggestions or referrals to FAQ's welcome. -Roy
