Is there another work around other than the one recommended by Informix, which is to basically rerun the job/re-submit the SQL query for data? The problem occurs on a Pyramid 90X MIS-4/03. Version of OS is UNIX release 5.1a-910507c, version 10022a. Version of Informix is 2.10.00B (standard engine). Version of ESQL/C is 2.10. Problem Description: This problem occurs when running a report program written in C and ESQL/C. The program is querying a table for data: - the database is opened - a cursor is declared (sqlca.sqlcode ret'd is 0 (successful)) - cursor is opened (same as above) - attempt is made to fetch records (sqlcode contains SQLNOTFOUND -- no records were selected but we KNOW there ARE records) - close cursor (sqlcode contains error -408 after attempting to close the cursor) - close database (same as above) This error only occurs in 1 out of approx. 15 program runs. Programmer's work around per Informix instructions for error -408 is to re-exec (re-run from scratch) the program upon receiving error -408.
