We recommend NOT TO USE WINDOWS NT for mission critical applications because it has a rather big down time. Not that the Informix product under NT aren't working fine but it's Windows NT itself that is very stable. Our NT clients have a MTBF of 20 days (NT4.0) or 35 days (NT3x). The Unix clients we have, have a MTBF between 175 and 200 days. I think this says enough. Don't let marketing get you, choose the best. At this point UNIX is. If you still wants to choose NT (we also have this clients) then make sure you have good 'buck-up' procedures.
