The only thing wrong with NewEra is that it will not run under Win-OS/2 session. Otherwise, it is a good tool. I hate doing windows programming, but as we all know windows is on almost everyones machine. But when I am doing development, I like to use OS/2. That way if a piece of my code does some weird stuff it does not bring down the whole computer. My problem is that I am always doing a lot of different stuff at the same time. And I need to be sure that my computer is not going to die when I am doing development. I remember a time when I was just using windows and I had a couple of things going on at the same time. I was reconfiguring a data base and I was doing something else. Well that something else locked up my computer. I was very pissed that I had to reconfigure the data base. After that, I would not use windows for anything that I had to get done. So, I would just lock my machine up for a couple of hours. But since I have been using OS/2 this problem has never happened to me. I wish Informix would get their act together. Sybase at least supports OS/2 so why can't Informix? Sorry if I got a little of track. NewEra is a good tool. It does some pretty amazing stuff.
