Sorry. It's true that a database name is unique within an instance. The original suggestion was to use CREATE DATABASE .. IN dbspace .. (which is not possible) and I was suggesting an alternative. I mentioned the -d option in dbimport because it is not shown when you do a dbimport -?. This is supposed to show all the parameter options. David W Chan Objective Research Ltd dwc@cix.compulink.co.uk
