I am running Solaris 2.4 and Informix 7.1 on a Sun690. I am interested to know if anyone has successfully implemented a carousel tape backup unit to archive or backup the database. I have not ordered the tape unit yet and am awaiting suggestions from anyone who has had experience with this. Is there a third party solution for this? Is there software that needs to be purchased?
