Re: KAIO with Solaris 2.6

The releases don't tell me much as it's for Solaris 2.5.1
(Im running 2.6) and just tell me KAIO is supported. I tried
to load the module manually (modload /kernel/sys/kaio). The
module loaded correctly. I restarted Informix but still no
kaio thread.

Maybe an onstat -g iov and onstat -g iof can help...

For other people reading this newsgroup the problem has
been found.
Im using devices created using Solaris's DiskSuite and
used as pathname /dev/md/dsk/ etc... This way you use
the BLOCK device which are exploited using COOKED mode.
For KAIO to work, you must use real raw devices which
are available under /dev/md/rdsk/
