failure trying to fetch on unopened cursor

I am running a simple select from the command line using ISQL version 5 on an h50 with AIX 5.21. the table I was querying is almost 3mil records long. I left the error message at the office but it basically said after running for about twenty minutes failure trying to fetch record cursor not opened. the query runs fine if I leave out the count(*) from the select as soon as I put it in and try to run it it gives me this error. could this be a memory problem? select distinct column1, column2, column3, count(*) from table1 wherecolumn5 > 19991010 and column6 in (100, 200, 300, 400,) group by 2,3,1 column1 int column2 varchar column3 varchar column5 int column6 int kirtt@mediaone.net
