I can help out a little here. I'm running Informix 10.0.UC3 on RHEL4 with an 8k page size. The database tables are 4.4TB in size, across over 1000 chunks. It runs fine... (Even running Enterprise Replication into the tables) I do have a problem with the backup - but I'm working through this (like where to put it!). Hope it helps. Only I didn't say I hadn't seen any bugs myself. Honestly I can't say I've set up any large page dbspaces myself. What I said was that I don't know of any bugs in the larger pagesize code. I'm aware of several gotcha's in IDS 10 but nothing related to the larger pages. From other users who have used them, including some of Oninit's clients setup before I got here, it works just as advertised. Art S. When 10 first came out, I don't recall any issues. Also, considering how the feature was implemented, I can't imagine that "problems" would have been "large" if at all from the beta. Don't recall any stories like that, but that was long ago... Mark Scranton Xtivia Inc.

I am always just very cautious when using new features because this seems when you get bit the most. I think that I am getting the feeling that you really need to test performance. I think we will obviously for some stupidly wide tables put them in larger page sizes. I will recommend holding off until we can really prove some benefit.
