I have experienced this on Sequent, running OnLine ver. 5.x. If you look in your online.log file, you will probably see a message, indicating that a page cleaner timed out. This happened periodically to us a while ago (before upgrading to 7.10). If a page cleaner doesn't complete its "cleaning" within a specified period of time, then it will trigger a timeout condition. I was never able to determine exactly what was causing it, but I suspect the page cleaning process was being interrupted some how. I didn't think OnLine would orphan a page cleaning process, just because it timed out, but it may.
