Karim,
Are You able to perform 'oninit -i' from the same
terminal session, from which You tried to restore IDS?
Is there any message in 'online.log'?

sending to informix-list
Karim
Have you preset the environment variables:
INFORMIXSERVER
INFORMIXDIR
ONCONFIG ???????????????????
Are you trying to do it login as "informix" user ???
Pay attention: if you run the command "oninit -i" you'll destroy all
data in your chunks.
Bye, best regards. R. Ferronato
