On UNIX that's basically it. If you have added rc scripts to start and stop the engine (or added lines to rc.local to do this) you should remove the startup and stop scripts (lines) also to avoid mysterious system log messages at boot time. There may also be one of more links in /usr/lib of some shared libraries linked to $INFORMIXDIR/lib. Art S. Kagel
