Hi!
Have you set LOGSMAX (or is it MAXLOGS) in your $ONCONFIG. I'd think
this is the problem.Set this to some high number (6 is default mostly,
and I usually set it to 32 to have some slack). The reason you get this
nasty message is that this is a follow up error. I.e. first it tries to
create a new log file: Oh no, if failed! Then it tries to attach this
new logfile, and that fails, because the logfile doesn't exist, as the
creation failed.
(So why doesn't onlog not try to attach the logfile when the creating
failed? Because it doesn't!)
Good luck
