How did you compare the performance? Try to compare the performance for a multiuser environment (of course, if you have compared the performance only in a single-user test) 3. Have you set the dbspaces on raw devices ? Of course for not very large databases the SE could be faster than OWS. Beside the performance I would analyze the following issues: - The reliabillity of data (recovery possibilities) - The on-line backup capabilities.
