Re: Changing ownership of tables

What "ramnaby" says will work, but there are cautions/caveats, namely: - Informix Tech Support won't support this - Make SURE you back up the engine before you do it, in case you screw something up. - Make sure you fix the owner EVERYWHERE. In addition to systables, you also need to update sysindexes, sysconstraints, and sysobjstate at the very least. ramnabv@my-dejanews.com wrote in message <72egpk$kjn$1@nnrp1.dejanews.com>... > > >One way could be to change the owner name of the table in the system >catalog 'systables' directly. > >-ramana > >In article <72cif6$hei$1@news.xmission.com>, > Alanoly Andrews <AlanolyA@planmatics.com> wrote: >> >> >> Once a table is created, is it possible to change the ownership >> of the table without recreating it?
