two newbie question

hi all: Thanks for a lot people's help around here, now I am finally one foot in the door with this informix thing. I have two more newbies questions: 1. in dbaccess, when you create a table, in index field, it ask for a fill factor, what is that? what would be a good value for that? 2. in the unix box hosting that server, how do I run a sql against a table in a particular server and put the result in a flat text file with some delimiters? And how do I start that from a c or perl program? Any help is greatly appreciated. Please also email responses to yan@wwisp.com Yan
