I have got a Client / Server application which makes an extended use of stored procedures on Informix - Online v.7.13 AIX o.s.. Majority of my report are produced using Infomaker V.5. This is fine for short report and summaries, but I also need to print the BIG ONE. I can configure a printer que on AIX Unix server for use from PCs Windows 95, but all the output is printed and spooled as graphics = very slow printing speed and paging is all over the place. So I want to write reports using Informix 4GL, but I have not found the way to call them from my Client program via a stored procedure using SYSTEM command. To use terminal emulation with login to the server and autostarting a 4GL menu looks quite stupid. Does anybody have an answer to this problem!!!
