But if you were to ask that question at database creation time, then you could set the next extent size with an ALTER TABLE command before creating your stored procedures. If this is IDS version 6 or greater, then you shouldn't be too concerned about performance, as the system catalogues are cached. HOWEVER, you must be fast approaching the maximum number of extents for this table, so if you have any more procedures to create, they might give errors, once the system cannot allocate an additional extent to this table.
